Anas Alhajji, Ph.D. joined NGP Energy Capital Management in 2008 as Chief Economist. In this newly created role, Dr. Alhajji leads the firm's macro-analysis of the oil, natural gas and related markets and the overall economic environment.
Dr. Alhajji is a highly respected academician, author, researcher, and speaker with more than 500 paper, articles and columns to his credit in the fields of energy economics, macroeconomics and international economics. He has addressed various national, international and academic organizations, institutions and conferences and serves on the board of several academic journals and publications.
Prior to joining NGP he served as a professor of Economics at the University of Oklahoma (1995-1997), the Colorado School of Mines (1997-2001) and, most recently, Ohio Northern University (2001-2008) where he held the George Patton Chair of Business and Economics and taught courses in energy economics & policy, and international economics.
