Abstract
This article explores the 'Fit for 55'-package in the context of EU energy law and policy. It argues that that due to deepening integration between EU climate and energy law and the increasing pressures the package imposes on the energy sector, the 'Fit for 55'-package has much more profound implications for EU energy law and the energy sector than what the legislative proposals in the package explicitly suggest.
