The Energy Community of China and Its Neighboring Countries is an important part of "the Destiny Community of Mankind". Since the 1980s, China and its neighboring countries have begun to advocate the establishment of an "energy community." The legal basis for the establishment of the Energy Community of China and Its Neighboring Countries includes international treaties, bilateral agreements, general legal principles etc. The establishment of the Energy Community of China and Its Neighboring Countries should adhere to the principle of mutual benefit, the principle of complementarity, the principle of equal cooperation and the principle of peaceful settlement of international disputes. Although the establishment of the Energy Community of China and Its Neighboring Countries now faces many difficulties, China and its neighboring countries can achieve this goal by promoting mutual trust and taking advantage of current international and European energy treaties detailed below.
