Summary
Whereas the Ministry of Energy has an announcement issued under the provisions of Section 53/1, paragraph two, of the Petroleum Act B.E. 2514 (1971) as amended by the Petroleum Act (No.7) B.E. 2560 (2017), stipulating that the exploration and production of petroleum in three (3) exploration blocks in the Gulf of Thailand to bolster and maintain energy stability and security of the country shall be under a Production Sharing Contract, and the Minister of Energy, with the advice of the Petroleum Committee, deems it appropriate to open a bid for the application for the right to explore and produce petroleum in the three (3) mentioned offshore exploration blocks.
In exercise of the power conferred by the provisions of Article 6, paragraph one, of the Ministerial Regulation Prescribing the Rules, Procedures and Conditions in the Application and Award of the Rights to be a Production Sharing Contractor B.E. 2561 (2018), the Minister of Energy (Minister) issues this Announcement inviting interested companies to apply for the rights to be a Production Sharing Contractor for the three (3) exploration blocks in the Gulf of Thailand designated to be operated under a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with the following conditions:
