Profile
PETER C. EVANS specializes in international political economy, energy market liberalization and international trade. He was a Senior Associate with Cambridge Energy Research Associates from 1996-2003. He has also served as a consultant to a broad range of private firms and government organizations including Rio Tinto, American Superconductor Corp., US-ASEAN Council, the US Trade Promotion Coordinating Committee, US Department of Energy, the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He was a visiting scholar at the Central Research Institute for Electric Power Industry, Tokyo, Japan from 1991-1993. Dr. Evans's published works include Liberalizing Global Trade in Energy Services, (The AEI Press, Washington, DC, 2002) and "Meeting the International Competition: Conflict and Cooperation in Export Financing," (with Kenneth A. Oye) in Gary Hufbauer and Rita Rodriguez, eds., US Ex-Im Bank in the 21st Century: A New Approach, Institute for International Economics, January 2001. He holds a BA from Hampshire College, an MCP and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
