Only the private sector has the resources, energy and creativity to respond to the world's humanitarian problems, so engaging business in effectively dealing with these problems must be a key objective for humanitarian organisations. This cannot happen against the private sector's interests, but must be done be aligning the private sector's motivations with humanitarian needs.
