Introduction
An estimate of Saudi Arabia's undiscovered gas reserves found that the country was the second largest to Russia with 13% of the world resources placing it in a core position in this field. Information from OPEC shows the powerful position held by the country in proven natural gas reserves in the year 2003 combined with the marketed production of natural gas in Saudi Arabia up to the same year.
