On June 29 2009, in the course of a meeting of Russian government agencies' representatives chaired by Vice Premier Igor Sechin, its participants, as we have learnt, were informed that in spite of objections of key agencies, a political decision was taken to terminate provisional application of the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) by the Russian Federation.
