This third regular issue of 2011 is the last of our six issues published in 2011 and covers - as usual - a variety of topics with follow up material from previous specials such as Host Government Contracts in the Upstream Oil and Gas Sector; Oil Spills; Comparative Energy Law; etc. and other papers of general interest.
Some highlights of this issue:
- Geir Westgaard - vice president at Statoil and head of the company's EU Affairs Office in Brussels, Belgium - makes a "Case for Gas" providing a producer perspective to the Energy Debate in the European Union.
- Recent events in Libya have turned the spotlight on an aspect of international investment law that has, so far, attracted little attention. Professor Christoph Schreuer addresses this in his paper 'The Protection of Investments in Armed Conflicts'
In January the OGEL Arctic special will be published, but be sure to visit www.ogel.org in the first week of the new year for a surprise publication.
