Abstract
The issue of cyber security has been attracting increased attention in the Oil and Gas sector particularly in the gulf region. The recent cyber-attacks on gulf NOC assets have raised concerns about the security and stability of Oil and Gas installations and operations. This paper examines the ever evolving relationship between NOCs and IOCs and argues that the changing nature of threats provides for opportunities to foster long term relationship by renegotiating the governing agreements.
