Since the ratification of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Officials in International Business Transactions (the Antibribery Convention), the United States responded with enacting the legal framework of the Convention into the International Bribery and fair Competition Act of 1998 (IAFCA).
