Summary
The directives 96/92 and 03/54 (Directive 96/92 of 19/12/1996, OJ L-27/20 of 30/01/1997 and amending directive 03/54 EC of 23 June 2003 concerning common rules for the internal market in electricity, OJ L-176/37 of 15/07/2003) provide the framework for the liberalisation of the electricity markets in the member states of the EU.
