Holger Essig

Holger Essig is a stipendiary of the Graduate School "Intellectual Property and the Public Domain" at the University of Bayreuth (Germany). He is currently (2007) finishing a Ph.D. thesis on trademark law at the University of Bayreuth.
From 2004 to 2006 Holger Essig worked as research assistant at the Chair of Public Law and European Community Law (Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kahl, M.A.) at the University of Bayreuth. Holger Essig holds degrees in law from Germany and France, among them a "Maîtrise en droit" in public and private international law from the Université Montesquieu - Bordeaux IV, France, and a "Wirtschaftsjurist (Univ. Bayreuth)" in law and economics from the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
His main areas of interest are European and international economic law as well as intellectual property law.
