International arbitration, energy, oil & gas, sports arbitration.

Ms. Price has represented energy, oil field service, power, and petrochemical companies in complex arbitration and litigation. Virtually all of her cases now involve international oil and gas, power, or petrochemical matters, including disputes involving Host Governments, state-owned oil companies and power companies, production sharing agreement and JOA disputes, and disputes with promoters and local representatives, in both arbitration and litigation.

Ms. Price is experienced in all phases of international arbitration in both administered and ad hoc proceedings, including drafting agreements to arbitrate, initiating and compelling arbitration, selecting arbitrators, discovery, pre-hearing matters and briefing, evidentiary hearings, and enforcement and challenge of arbitral awards. Her experience and skill have been recognized in her being named among the World's Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration 2008 by Legal Media Group.

Her recent matters include representing different international oil companies in separate litigation matters concerning interests in offshore North Caspian and onshore oil fields in Kazakhstan, representing investor oil companies in disputes with a state oil company over breach of and the right to renegotiate a Production Sharing Agreement, representing a multinational power generator in two UNCITRAL arbitrations against a state enterprise to enforce power purchase and transmission agreements, and representing an oil terminal operator in an ICC arbitration against a state oil company over expropriation of contract rights. Other recent matters have included disputes over contracts and investments in El Salvador, Venezuela, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, North Africa, and Russia, among other areas, in proceedings under UNCITRAL, ICC, AAA/ICDR, LCIA, ICSID, and other arbitral regimes.

She also frequently works with clients and transactional attorneys in advising on options and strategies for negotiating arbitration and dispute resolution agreements, and in drafting arbitration and dispute resolution agreements for both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Ms. Price is a member of the Houston International Arbitration Club, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Arbitralwomen, and the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, and is on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. She has numerous achievements, publications, and speaking engagements to her credit. Ms. Price received her J.D. in 1986 from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she was a member of the San Diego Law Review.
