Profile
Dr. Feng San is Associate Research Fellow in the Economic Forecasting Department of State Information Center, China, and currently serves as deputy chief of Division. He received the Degree of Doctor of Economics from Reimin University of China (People's University, China). Now he is conducting his post-doctor program under Prof. Jiahua Pan at the Research Center for Sustainable Development, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS-RCSD). He has ever studied at the International Center for the Study of East Asian Development (ICSEAD), Japan, as a visiting scholar in 2005.
Dr. Feng San's research interests cover from China macro-economy issues, China economic growth pattern under the restriction of energy and environment, the international comparison of developing strategies in the catching-up countries. He has published about 200 papers and articles in academic journals, magazines and newspapers as author or co-author. His recent project experiences include Industrialization Process and its Implication for Energy Demand in China, from EF (Energy Foundation) 2005, Study on Establishing the Index System of China Welling-off Society (xiaokang), from UNDP 2006, Policy Study on Impact of Rising Oil Prices on the Chinese Low-income Residents, from The Energy and Resources Institute, India (TERI) and UNOPS, 2006.
