In October 2001, Luis E. Andueza joined Despacho de Abogados miembros de Macleod Dixon, S.C. in Caracas, as partner in charge of the Public Law and Regulatory Department. This is a full-service law firm that provides US-standard legal services to its international and domestic clientele. The Caracas office is an affiliate of Canadian firm Macleod Dixon LLP, an international law firm with over 240 legal professionals in seven offices on four continents. Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner of the public law and antitrust department of a major law firm in Venezuela.
He specializes in Administrative, Contentious-Administrative and Constitutional Law, and Regulatory Legislation with special emphasis on hydrocarbons, antitrust, exchange control and consumer protection. Luis also has broad experience in contract matters with public entities and bidding processes. Luis has been Vice-President and Justice of the First Court of Contentious-Administrative Matters, the second highest court in Venezuela; assistant to a Justice of the Supreme Court and consultant for British Telecommunications PLC, in England.
