Associate Professor of international politics at the Department of Political Sciences at Ghent University, where I also co-coordinate the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIES). His research interests include global energy governance and the foreign energy policies of China and India. Thijs holds a M.A. in International Relations from Ghent University and a M.A. in European Studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
