The Research Centre on Mining and Energy Politics, better known under its French acronym CARPEM, is an Association of unrivalled researchers and professionals of Law and Economics whose aim is to play an influential role in the setting up of outstanding ruling systems in African mining and energy sectors.
The Centre's originality is twofold: as a duty-conscious Centre, it's highly concerned with the current economic scene in Africa and has both specialized and local papers as source of information.
It's devoted in gathering all necessary knowledge be they theories, customs or usages and is seriously involved in developing knowhow for a suitable, properly structured and profitable consultancy to both the requesting party and beneficiary.
For the purpose of bridging the gap between theory and practice, the Centre is deeply involved in recruiting young and well-trained professionals generally involved in formal research projects to solve practical problems faced by companies.
