Profile

I studied law in Germany and did a LL.M. programme in European business law in France. I specialise in public commercial and European energy law. A thesis I wrote in Germany deals with the question whether the public sector or public subsidised companies could act as tenderer at award procedures. The problems discussed in this paper, inter alia, concern German gas and electricity network operators. During studies in France I had the possibility to gain knowledge about the connection between the European legal order, the interaction of the European institutions and the European policy making process. When working for an international operating corporate law firm, I supported the counselling of companies which envisaged conducting investment in the German energy sector.
