Wim Vandenberghe

Wim Vandenberghe advises on the full range of energy law matters, including EU and Belgian regulatory and compliance counseling, fossil fuels and renewable energy contracts, sustainable energy projects and climate change and emissions trading matters. He also has significant experience in EU general law and in Belgian and EU competition law, having advised both national and international clients on anti-competitive agreements (including cartels), merger control issues and matters regarding state aid and abuse of dominant position.
A graduate of K.U.Leuven (LL.B., cum laude) and Edinburgh University (LL.M., cum laude), Mr Vandenberghe was featured in the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in Belgium for his work in energy-law. He teaches EU gas and electricity law as part of the Energy and Environmental LL.M. program of the Law Faculty, K.U.Leuven and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Belgian law journal Milieu- en Energierecht [Environmental and Energy Law].
