Michele Giannino is an Italian qualified lawyer. After graduating in Law from the University of Cagliari (Italy), he obtained a LLM in European Law from the University of Leicester (UK). Then he specialized in competition law with a PhD at the Queen Mary College of the University of London. His research was about the regulation of international mergers. In this regard, he explored the possible strategies for the regulation of international merger operations with particular focus on the need for multilateral solutions in order to deal with the issues and questions raised by such operations.
A book derived from the thesis will be published early in 2010. Michele is currently working with a legal firm acting in the field of business and insolvency law. He regularly contributes to Italian and foreign legal journals and websites with article on EU business and competition law.
