Mr. Peng is a researcher at Energy Resources Environment Group ("ERE") of Sunshine Law Firm based in Beijing, supporting the Energy & Environment and Shipping & Logistics practices.
Louis has advised many foreign multinationals and domestic state-owned companies on onshore and offshore energy-related projects. Louis has participated in several overseas M&A transactions in disposal of petroleum assets in London. He has advised in Saudi Arabia a Chinese leading petroleum company in connection with an EPC contract and has extensive experience in charter parties and sale and purchase of vessels. He has also handled many shipping litigation cases relevant to cargo claims, charter party disputes and casualties.
Mr. Peng graduated from Dalian Maritime University (LLB in international commercial law) and University of Dundee Scotland (LLM in Mineral Law and Policy). Prior to joining Sunshine Law Firm in Beijing, he was a legal counsel with Naji Law Firm in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an energy legal intern with CMS Cameron McKenna in London, and an associate with Fada Law Firm in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.
Mr. Peng is a native Chinese, fluent in English. He also speaks basic Arabic and Japanese.
