Miguel Angel Mateo Simon is currently pursuing a LLM in Energy Law and Policy in the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy ("CEPMLP") at the University of Dundee, UK.

Before starting his LLM in the CEPMLP, Miguel Angel was a senior associate at the Mexican law firm Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa, S.C. ("BSTL"); once his LLM is completed, he will re-joined the energy and natural resources practice group of BSTL.

For the last 5 years, Miguel Angel focused his career in advising Mexican and multinational companies in natural resources, energy and infrastructure projects in Mexico. His practice areas include energy law, project finance, commercial and civil contracts, corporate transactions, administrative law and government procurement.
