Nelia Daniel Dias

Nelia Daniel Dias is a Senior Counsel working for Chevron in Angola and is registered with the Portuguese and Angolan Bar Association where she also trains junior lawyers.
Nelia got her degree in 1995 from a Law School in Lisbon, and has been providing legal assistance for the oil industry in many areas since 2009. Prior to that she had her own law office in Lisbon. She also has a degree in Communications Law (Coimbra Faculty of Law) and a Master in Civil Law, the subject of her essay was "Civil Liability of the Judge" which is published in Portugal.
Nelia regularly participates and speaks at seminars and lectures, both in Portugal and Angola. She organised a Conference on Natural Resources in 2009 and a training course on Corporate Law and Human Rights in 2010.
Nelia's written works include a number of books, "The subjective civil liability and Practical Possibilities of Civil Law's General Theory" published in 2008 (a fourth book is going to be published in 2011), articles in Angolan Law Journals and a paper on Oil and Gas in the Brazilian Law Journal Consulex (September 2010).
Nelia teaches Law at an Angolan University.
