Profile

Dr. Hafez Abdo is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the Nottingham Business School of the Nottingham Trent University. He holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield, M.Acc from the University of Dundee, PCHE from the University of Sheffield, PG.Dip and B.SC from the University of Aleppo.

Dr. Abdo teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and also supervises DBA and PhD candidates. He has delivered courses in Oil and Gas accounting and his research focuses on International Oil and Gas Agreements, Petroleum Fiscal Regimes and Energy Security issues.

One of the major research interest of Dr. Abdo is the UK Oil and Gas Taxation regime in particular and the UK energy policy in general. His research is presented in international energy conferences and published in energy journals. Dr. Abdo is a member of the BAA and BIEE.
