Focused on large electricity consumers (mainly industrial facilities with complex processes), Energy Pool controls on a real-time basis close to one thousand Megawatts of flexible capacity via its network operation center. Thus Energy Pool provides peak shaving capacity, secures network operations and facilitates renewables integration and balancing; by doing so, Energy Pool contributes to the 20-20-20 objectives of the European Union. Energy Pool is also scaling up in other countries (both in Europe as well as in the rest of the world).

Energy Pool concluded 2010 a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric Industries and has around fifty employees.
