Helen G. Cook
Profile
Ms. Cook is a senior associate in Pillsbury's energy group. Her practice focuses on international nuclear energy matters. Ms. Cook has a particular interest in the development of nascent civilian nuclear power programs and nuclear new build projects and has advised governments, owner/developers, nuclear power plant vendors, equipment suppliers and export credit agencies.
Ms. Cook advises on the establishment of civilian nuclear power programs, including policy development, bilateral relations, compliance with international nuclear treaties and conventions, national nuclear law and regulation. She has advised on various aspects of current nuclear new build projects.
Prior to joining Pillsbury, Ms Cook worked at an international law firm, based in the United Arab Emirates where she advised local and international entities on regional energy and infrastructure projects.
After completing her law degree, Ms. Cook interned at the International Criminal Court and International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
Ms. Cook is supervised by members of the DC Bar.
