Profile
Renelle Joffe specializes in Energy Law and heads the Energy Group of Meitar Liquornik Geva & Leshem Tal.
Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal is Israel's leading international law firm, with a legal staff of approximately 250 people. The firm represents some of the world's largest multinational corporations in corporate, commercial and litigation matters, in Israel and abroad.
Meitar's energy practice enjoys the unique position of representing clients in all sectors of the natural gas market in Israel - upstream, midstream and downstream.
Renelle is an expert on the regulatory framework in the energy sector in Israel and specifically in natural gas regulation. This expertise has been gained while representing international companies working offshore on exploration and development projects and those farming in to licenses; all against the backdrop of a constantly evolving regulatory framework in this sector.
Meitar's strength lies also in the comprehensive advice which we provide to our energy clients. Over the years, most of the practices in Meitar have worked with our energy clients, gaining expertise in applying their specific expertise to the energy sector. These fields include tax, anti-trust, corporate, environment, labour and litigation advice.
Prior to joining Meitar at the beginning of 2008, Renelle served for a decade as legal advisor for Natural Gas in the Israel Electric Corporation, the integrated electricity utility, where she gained extensive experience negotiating international energy deals including the purchase of gas from Egypt and the first GSPA signed in Israel, with the Noble-Delek Group.
Renelle earned her LLB degree from the Tel-Aviv University in 1989 and serves as Co-Chairperson of the Energy Committee of the Israeli Bar Association.
Renelle is a member of the AIPN.
