Profile

Since May 2011, Dr. Botta has been working as Assistant Professor in the Institute for European Integration Research (EIF) of the University of Vienna. The EIF is a multi-disciplinary research centre, which focusses its research activities on the dynamics of European integration in different policy areas. As Assistant Professor, Marco teaches a number of seminars in the field of EU and competition law in the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna.

Marco's field of research focusses on the enforcement of competition law in the EU and in the emerging economies and he holds a LLM in European Business Law from Leiden University. In addition, in March 2010 he defended his PhD in the field of competition law in the Law Department of the European University Institute. His doctoral thesis was published in January 2011 as monograph by Kluwer Law International.
