Mr. Vasily Kotov graduated from the Tomsk Polystechnic University (Russia) with a degree in Petroleum engineering (Pipeline and oil-gas storage engineering and operation) and with a degree in Economics (National economy).

In 2011 he holds a Master of Science Degree in 'Environment and Natural, Industrial and Urban Hazards' from the Ecole nationale supérieure des mines of Saint Etienne (France). He wrote his MSc dissertation at the École de technologie supérieure (Montreal, Canada) on the topic related to the environmental constraints in shale gas production.
