Mr. Aleksandar Macura holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Belgrade University with postgraduate education in energy law and economy.

Mr. Macura has more than 12 years of experience in the energy sector including research, studies, project and programme management and design, as well as support to policy making and business development advice with focus on renewable energies, energy efficiency and energy poverty.

Mr Macura served as UNDP portfolio manager for energy and environment with UNDP Country Office in Serbia.

His current work, as an independent consultant, is focused on improvement of public policies on local ,national and regional level in the area of energy and climate change with the aim to enhance renewable energy usage and energy efficiency and reduce energy poverty among population.

His clients include private sector companies, local and national governments, international organizations, and civil society organizations.

Mr Macura is author of numerous publications, studies and articles related to his area of experience.
