Hon. Christine Trenorden is a visiting professor (laws) in the UCL Department of Chemical Engineering located at the Future Industries Institute, University of South Australia. Formerly a judge of the District Court South Australia and the Senior Judge of the Environment, Resources and Development Court for a total of 17 years to 2010, Christine also worked in environmental law development aid projects in the Asia Pacific region prior to joining UCL School of Energy and Resources, Australia, in February 2013. Christine has been awarded life membership of the National Environmental Law Association of Australia and is an honorary fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia. Christine is the author of the report on "Regulatory Framework on Environmental Impacts and Community Acceptance of Shale Gas" (24 May 2018) ShaleXenvironmenT Horizon 2020 project H2020-LCE-2014-1.
