Adriana San Román Rivera is partner of Wöss & Partners (Mexico DF - Washington DC) and also a financial analyst with more than 20 years of experience in corporate banking, financial engineering, and risk analysis. She engages in the legal-financial structuring of projects including infrastructure projects; she has vast experience in the preparation of legal-financial strategies in damages claims, case and evidence analysis, and the preparation of submissions in complex arbitrations. She is attorney at law with highest honours and was Ford foundation scholar of the University of Exeter where she studied for an M.A. in Finance and Investment. She also passed the first level of the Chartered Financial Analyst Exam at the CFA Institute in New York. Adriana San Román Rivera is author of the monograph Damages in International Arbitration under Complex Long-term Contracts (Oxford University Press 2014) together with Dr. Herfried Wöss, Prof. Pablo T. Spiller and Santiago Dellepiane, which is currently being used as reference by leading arbitral tribunals such as the Iran-US Claims Tribunal. She is frequently acting as damages expert in international arbitrations.
