Benjamin Boakye

Benjamin Boakye is the Deputy Executive Director of the Africa Center for Energy Policy (ACEP), Ghana. At ACEP, Benjamin oversees project design and implementation. He also immensely contributes to research, policy analysis and advocacy on extractive resource governance. What drives Ben in this role is the strategic focus of ACEP to provide leadership in a renewed discourse aimed at transforming the vast natural resources in Africa to economic freedom and social justice for citizens. To Benjamin, this is not only a professional duty but a conviction in the potential to reduce poverty through policy reforms, transparency and accountability in the governance of resources.
Benjamin holds a Msc. in Energy Studies with specialization in International Oil and Gas Management from the University of Dundee, UK and a B.A. (Hons) in Sociology with Information Studies from the University of Ghana.
