Kevin Foley

Kevin Foley is a doctoral student in the Department of Government at Cornell University, where his research focuses on comparative politics and international political economy. At the time the report "THE GREENLAND GOLD RUSH" was researched and written, he was associate director of the John L. Thornton China Center at the Brookings Institution.
Prior to joining Brookings he was managing editor, Asia for research and intelligence firm OTR Global LLC, where he covered the energy and mining industries. Before that he worked in Beijing for Caijing Magazine and the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business where he researched Chinese corporate strategy and industrial policy. Kevin is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and holds an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins University School of International Studies (SAIS).
