Thomas J. de Römph is an affiliated senior researcher at both the Law Faculties of KU Leuven and Hasselt University, Belgium. He obtained his doctoral degree at both universities. His dissertation concerned the legal transition towards a circular economy in EU environmental law. It follows that Thomas' research focus is on the regulation of material cycles, which includes product, chemical and waste law. He currently works for the national government of the Netherlands.
