Mohammad N. Alshalfan

Dr. Alshalfan is a lecturer at the Law Department at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Kharj, Saudi Arabia. Prior to entering academia, he worked as an associate lawyer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he advised many Saudi and international clients, including a major international oil company, car makers, and media networks, on matters involving foreign direct investment, corporate law, international arbitration, finance, securities, IPOs, international finance, labor law, and media law. He also worked as a litigator representing clients before several Saudi courts and judicial commissions, such as general courts, administrative courts, administrative appeals court, the banking disputes commission, and the media violations commission.
He obtained his S.J.D. from Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A. in August 2017, where he wrote a dissertation about Saudi Arabia energy policy and nuclear energy. He had previously obtained his LL.M. from the same school in 2008. He graduated from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a college degree in Islamic Sharia law in 2005.
