Gerrit Hendrikx is an attorney at the Bar of Brussels (MODO) and a scientific researcher at the department of economic law of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He regularly publishes scientific articles in this legal field.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Sociology (VUB, magna cum laude) and a Master of Laws degree (VUB, magna cum laude). He concluded his Master of Laws at the VUB with a dissertation on shareholder liability in limited liability companies.
His current practice at MODO advocaten is mainly focussed on issues relating to economic law, energy law and financial law. He assists Prof. dr. Régine Feltkamp in transactional and advisory work particularly related to regulated businesses (energy sector, banking and finance sector), innovative industries, consumer law and business law. As such, he has contributed to advising different players in the energy sector in respects of topics such as market coupling (including CACM), consumer protection, transmission and distribution of electricity and license obligations.
