Julia E. Sullivan is an American attorney and an independent arbitrator with more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Her expertise includes cross-border litigation, cross-border transactions, and infrastructure regulation. Prior to founding her own firm, Ms. Sullivan chaired the Energy Regulation, Markets and Enforcement practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, and served on the Steering Committee of that firm's Global Energy Transactions practice. She holds a juris doctor from American University and an LLM in Transnational Commercial Transactions from Lazarsky University (Poland). She has served an adjunct professor, visiting professor, or guest lecturer at Georgetown Law Center (Washington, D.C.), Lublin School of Technology (Poland), Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (Ukraine), Zaporizhya National University (Ukraine), and Dundee University (Scotland). She is a frequent guest at industry events and has published extensively on developments in the energy industry.
