Lucila de Almeida is Research Associate and co-Director of the online course Regulatory Delivery at the Florence School of Regulation/Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies/European University Institute (EUI). Before, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki, and Research Associate at the EUI Law Department affiliated to the ERC-Advanced Grant - European Regulatory Private Law Project.
Lucila holds a Ph.D. and LL.M. in Law from the European University Institute (EUI) fully financed by ERC, M.A. in Law and Development at School of Law of Fundação Getúlio Vargas São Paulo, and LL.B. at the Federal University of Ro Grande Norte.
Lucila has published several peer-reviewed articles and books. Her most recent books are Sustainable Consumption(Springer 2019) and The Transformation of Economic Law (Hart Publishing 2019). She has been member of editorial boards of two Oxford Journals (EJIL and I.CON) and carried research in projects funded by the European Research Council (2013-2016), Inter-American Development Bank (2011), the Academy of Finland (2017-2018), and the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation (2012). She has taught at the Universitè Catholique de Louvain, the University of Helsinki, and the University of São Paulo.
