Dr. Diaz brings commercial and technical experience in the global energy industry, with a focus in emerging markets. Her expertise encompasses a wide array of energy industries including oil and gas, unconventional fossil fuels, liquefied natural gas (LNG), renewables, power generation and transmission and energy efficiency. For the past ten years, Dr. Diaz has worked in energy related engagements in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Her engagements have included economic and commercial analysis, regulatory and market assessments, cross-border and local due diligence, strategic investment, international carbon credit assessment, asset valuation and dispute resolution expert opinions.
Dr. Diaz has significant experience in complex energy disputes. She has participated in numerous international and domestic energy disputes providing industry and valuation expert advisory services for ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC arbitral proceedings as well as U.S. and foreign local courts. Dr. Diaz's work in this area has spanned four continents covering issues, such as regulatory change, market pricing for oil, natural gas, LNG and liquid fuels, industrial policy, emerging technology development, nuclear spent fuel management and liability in natural disasters.
