Andrej Pustišek consults international energy companies, teaches energy economics at the University of Applied Science, Stuttgart and at the University of Karlsruhe, and conducts advanced courses internationally. Inter alia, he has been expert witness in various arbitration proceedings and member of Monitoring Trustee teams nominated by the European Commission.
Born in Zagreb, Croatia, raised in Germany, he studied both, Geophysics and Economy in Austria and Germany.
In 1990, he started working for Wintershall AG, Germany. From 1993 to 2001, he headed the natural gas logistics and later the portfolio management of WINGAS, a Gazprom-BASF joint venture. As of 2002, he was Senior Vice President for International Natural Gas Sales and later for Portfolio Management at E.ON.
He is author of several publications, inter alia the textbook 'Natural Gas - A Commercial Perspective', 2017 (with M. Karasz).
