Steven Finizio has advised clients regarding disputes under the rules of most of the well-recognized international arbitration institutions and governed by the laws of jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, Africa and the US, as well as under bilateral and regional investment treaties. Mr. Finizio has extensive experience in energy-related disputes, including disputes involving gas supply contracts. Among other matters, he has advised clients on a significant number of gas price arbitrations and other disputes involving long-term LNG and gas supply contracts.
Mr. Finizio publishes widely on issues relating to international dispute resolution. His publications on energy related issues include "The Adjustment Phase in Gas Price Reviews Under Long-Term Gas Supply Contracts" in Gas and LNG Price Arbitrations (Global Law and Business 2020), "Gas Supply Contracts and Disputes" in International Arbitration in the Energy Sector (OUP 2018), and "Destination Restrictions and Diversion Provisions in LNG Sale and Purchase Agreements" in The Guide to Energy Arbitrations (Global Arbitration Review). He also is the author of "A Practical Guide to International Commercial Arbitration: Assessment, Planning and Strategy" (Sweet & Maxwell) and "International Commercial Arbitration" in The Law of Transnational Business Transactions (Thomson Reuters).
