Yuriy Melnikov

Dr. Yuriy Melnikov is a Senior Analyst at the Energy Centre of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. At the Energy Center, he is responsible for research and educational projects in the fields of power & utilities, energy efficiency, hydrogen economy, climate regulation and various aspects of the energy transition. Since 2017, Dr. Melnikov become a co-author of six large-scale open studies published by SKOLKOVO Energy Centre, as well as more than 20 articles in Russian business media and international peer-reviewed journals.
Prior to joining the SKOLKOVO team in 2017, Dr. Melnikov worked for 12 years in international engineering and consulting companies specialized in energy efficiency, power generation, technical due diligence & supervision in Russian power sector, gas and steelworks industries.
Dr. Melnikov holds a PhD in Engineering Science (2009) and a degree in Thermal Power Plant Engineer (2006, with honors) from Ivanovo State Power University. He completed an internship in the Netherlands under the Presidential Management Training Program (2013), specialized in sustainable energy.
