Jordie Pettit is a legal practitioner in private practice in Sydney, with one of Australia's largest commercial law partnerships. His expertise is in environmental and planning litigation, with a focus on energy projects, land use and major developments.
His interest in energy law is concentrated on law reform and regulatory challenges arising in the renewable energy transition. Previously a Research Associate at the ANU College of Law, he worked on projects relating to electric vehicle policy, comparative renewable energy law, and Australian jurisprudence on wind and solar energy. He is a contributing author on climate law for the Lexis Nexis Rule of Law Update series.
A graduate of the Australian National University, Jordie completed a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of International Relations. His studies included exchange at the University of Alberta, Canada, with a focus on international carbon tax regimes and the interchange of human rights and the environment.
