Merve Ergun is a fully qualified lawyer, registered with the Izmir Bar Association, and holds a PhD in Civil Law and Constitutional Legality from the University of Camerino. Dr Ergun has developed particular expertise in ADR, international commercial law and European Union law, including EU state aid regulations, taxation, renewable energy law, and the resolution of commercial legal disputes.

Owing to her extensive professional and academic experience across Türkiye, Austria, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Portugal, and Italy, she is highly experienced in arbitration and familiar with practical knowledge in interpreting and applying the relevant laws

She holds an LLM in International Commercial Law (with Distinction) from the United Kingdom, a Master’s degree in European Union Law from Türkiye, as well as LLB and BA degrees also obtained in Türkiye. Merve has excellent command of Turkish and English and limited working proficiency in German and French.
