Dr. Francisca Kusi-Appiah is a lecturer at the UPSA Law School and Acting Head of the Public Law Department. She holds a PhD from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee, Scotland, UK in addition to a Master's Degree with specialization in Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston, Texas.
She obtained her master's degree with specialization in Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Law in 2011 from the University of Houston, Texas. Subsequently, she worked with the Daniels Legal Group (previously known as Osagiede & Associates) in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, Francisca had worked as an associate of Minkah Premo & Co (Akosombo Chambers) in Accra, Ghana after she had been called to the Ghana Bar in 2009. She obtained her LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2007. Francisca is a legal consultant at K-App Law.
Areas of research consist of energy law, natural resources law, competition law, arbitration, law of contract and sustainable development.
