Cara Dowling provides strategic support to the firm's global dispute resolution and international arbitration practices. Cara's focus is on global, cross-border disputes. In addition to international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitration, Cara has particular expertise in global climate change and sustainability risk s, including global disputes risks arising out of climate change and sustainability issues as well as international reporting frameworks.
Cara brings to her role a uniquely global perspective having have worked for leading global law firms in the United Kingdom, Australia and North America. Her client and stakeholder base encompasses Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa. Cara is dual qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and Australia (South Australia and New South Wales). She is licensed to practice foreign law by the Law Society of British Columbia, Canada.
Cara is a member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution (CPR), the CPR Institute's Digital Transformation Committee, and International Legal Technology Association (ILTA).
