João Victor Marques Cardoso holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). He is currently a researcher at the Center for Energy Studies of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV Energia), participating in projects for Oil & Gas, and Biofuels sectors, focusing on geopolitical and economic impacts to energy security and transition. He writes for the "Geocorrente Bulletin" at the Conjuncture Assessment Nucleus of the Brazilian Naval War College (EGN). He is also active in the research project "Energy Integration on the African Continent" at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA).
