Lena Østgaard is a Legal Advisor on International Law at IOM Law. She works with the legal requirements for cross-border transportation and storage of CO2. Lena offers advice to public and private clients on how to develop, implement, interpret, and comply with national, regional, and international frameworks related to CCS.

Lena is appointed national expert for Norway to ISO TC265 in the working group dedicated to ship transportation of CO2. She has experience working in common law and civil law countries, namely England and Norway. Lena holds two law degrees (LL.B. and LL.M. in Public International Law) from England.
